“My family had always lived in the New York - New Jersey area. About twelve years ago, my parents decided to retire in the Henderson, Nevada area. My father was insistent then when he passed he wanted to be buried in the Henderson, Nevada area. He also had a strong desire to be cremated. Being of Jewish faith, this combination isn't very easy when searching for a final resting place. While I'm uncertain what made him search for or finally decide on King David, our family is grateful that he did. When the time came of his passing eight years ago, my mother, sister and I met Jay Poster (General Manager) and his team. The grounds were pristine, the team was professional - sympathetic and caring to our needs. We didn't feel like outsiders being 2,400 miles away. Through email and seeing the complex we felt like we were being taken care of like family. It should be noted that while my father had a strong desire to be cremated, the grounds accommodate traditional burying as well. However, they have a separate section to accommodate cremation - as well as various denominations of the Jewish faith. The service was warm and many of the people who attended were not of the Jewish religion. Those people specifically came up to us after to tell us how impressed they were about the entire service as many of them had never attended a 'Jewish service' before. During the years, my family went to the burial site to visit with my father. I can't recall a single occasion where any portion of the grounds weren't well kept and manicured. About two weeks ago, my mother passed away as well. This time my mother was in New Jersey - to be closer to my sister and I. A recent affiliation between a highly reputable funeral home and King David allowed a seamless process to cremate my mother in New Jersey, fly her out to King David and be buried next to my father - which was her strongest wish. Again, Jay and his team made this entire process easy and while the attendance was much smaller since my mother hadn't lived in the area for two years, the service was warm and relaxing. On both occasions, my parents hadn't been affiliated with a Temple - so there was the need for a Rabbi to preside over the service. Once again, I asked Jay for guidance on obtaining a Rabbi for us who would be personable and make the attendees feel more relaxed. Jay not once - but twice came up with excellent choices on virtually no notice. My sister and I take comfort in our father's choice of their final resting place. Even 2,400 miles away we are at ease that our parents will eternally be handled with great love and care.”

Open to the public, not just contractors unlike a lot of stone distributors in town. They make the stone there, that is what I like most about the place. “My elderly mother and I shopped at various flooring stores to find just the right kind of porcelain tile for the first floor of her home. We had stopped by Pacific Flooring a few times and were given excellent service and help with this process. On the second visit, we met one of their sales people, Dane who was very attentive and helpful with our search for the right tile. On our next visit, my mother decided and bought the entire tile requirements for her first floor and left her money pouch on the counter without either of us realizing it. The next morning at home, she realized she lost her money, her plastic, her id, everything profoundly important to her. This was a moment of sheer panic because of the possibility that her money, id, etc could have been stolen, ending up in the wrong hands. I remember our visit to Pacific Flooring the day before and immediately called the store and Dane answered the phone and promptly told me he had her money pouch and tried to contact us the day before. We drove at once back to Pacific Flooring and, relieved, thanked Dane for his incredible honesty, integrity, and decency for what he did. My mother thankfully offered him $100 for his decency but he instantly declined. This one incredible act of decency and integrity is more than enough to not only make us loyal customers to this store but to restore our faith in humanity. It is a relief to know that there are still decent and good people in this world like Dane. Not only does this store offer the best tile in Las Vegas but they employ the best people a patron could hope to meet. Thanks Pacific Flooring for your great products and the great people who work there.”
