  I always recommend PMA Merrimack to my friends. Sensei Chris is not only the best martial arts instructor I've ever seen, but also one of the best teachers in general. It's amazing to see how quickly every individual progresses no matter what level they're starting from.
  
  My family attends classes at all levels including the little kids karate class, kids jiu jitsu (the only kids jiu jitsu class in the area), and the adult muay thai kickboxing and adult jiu jitsu. Every class is a blast!
  
  I'm thrilled to have Sensei Chris as a role model for my kids. He highly respects even his youngest students, and his thoughtfully crafted "mat chats" encourage kids to develop qualities that equip them to achieve their goals.
  
  That Sensei Chris loves what he does is apparent, and every student reaps the rewards from the contagious enthusiasm and community that result.

  Relatively new student here, Muy Thai Kickboxing.
  
  If you're looking for a good workout or want to learn how to defend yourself, this is the place. The class is structured so that no matter what age, skill level, or physical fitness, you can always keep up. If you have injuries like I do, the teacher is always ready with a modification. Sensei Chris works hard to create a positive, welcoming class atmosphere, and takes the time to explain anything you don't understand. He practices what he preaches too; whatever we do, he's right next to us. The other students are incredibly supportive, and everyone there truly wants to see you succeed. There is a heavy emphasis on not measuring by what the other students did, but by what you did yesterday and what you'll do tomorrow. You work hard in this school- it's never going to be easy, whatever you do- but you WILL have something to show for it. This is the first place I've ever attended that has gotten me results. Sensei Chris relentlessly believes in all of his students, and I think we work harder for it.
  
  It's hard for me to summarize how much of a positive impact this school is having on me. I used to hate working out. Now I find myself looking forward to classes. I've struggled with confidence and anxiety my entire life, and this is the one place where that "never good enough" voice has gone silent. This school has given me things I can't buy: confidence, peace of mind, satisfaction...

  I have been attending classes at this academy for roughly half a year and I enjoyed every class. The students and staff are friendly and motivating. They are extremely beginner friendly and not forceful at all. They are understanding of your limitations and motivate you to do more, but if you're at your limit, they understand and wouldn't push you farther. They practice safety in every class.
  Con: The entrance to their parking lot always has giant pot holes.
