Great German food! Reasonably priced. Historic building with a gorgeous bar area made from wood removed from a local high school gym.
Great food and good beer selection. Cannot beat the prices for the quality you get! Must go place for dinner
Went to for the early bird with by 92 year old mother, maiden name Froehlich.
The German menu is small but sufficient. I understand it changes throughout the week with some special dishes like chicken and dumplings.
We both had pork schnitzel (breaded pork cutlet) with brown mushroom gravy, sauerkraut and spaetzle. All as good as I've had in the best German restaurant Northeast Philly.
I don't know when the the bar room was built 50-100 years ago? The Old Europe paneling, metal ceiling and hardwood floors are something to see if you appreciate the type of atmosphere.
Service was good and friendly.
Can't wait to go back.
Mike
A real Gem!! Unique bar in a residential area, easy to miss. An intimate, quiet, local atmosphere with charm. Good selection of German beer on tap. Limited menu of German cuisine but all food items are fresh and great quality for price. Dark heavy craftsman wood decor, cukoo clock on wall. A few screens for the sports games. Weekly specials and live music. Owner is always around and up for spinning the local folklore yarn.
I love going to Egg Harbor Festhaus! Since they have opened in May, my family and I have been there 5 times! We always come back for the German beer on tap and the Bavarian Pretzels! Great place for dinner or just hanging out at the bar. They also have some live entertainment that fits the vibe of the bar perfectly!

I stopped in at Egg Harbor Festhaus & Biergarten on a Wednesday evening. I almost drove right past it as it is located on an entirely residential street and seems utterly out of place among the rows of Egg Harbor Festhaus & Biergarten is a perfect example of how some things can look better on paper.
