When I was a child I went to school across the street. The house was so creepy I would run past it. It was so wonderful to see that it has been restored and so many of the Rosenkratz family belongings remain. My sister and I were there in May and were only able to walk the grounds. We went back earlier this month and were able to see the inside. Our Docent was very knowledgeable about the history of the house. What an amazing home it is! And the rumors about George Washington having slept there are true! I only wish that as a child I'd had the courage to knock on Miss Rosenkrantz's door. Who knows, she might have even let me in!
100rh anniversary.
Glen Rock Pops Orchestra gave a beautiful concert.
Loved it
Small cozy historical place. You are not allowed to go inside without the tour (which is understandable) and not allowed to take pictures inside (state law, which does not make any sense). Anyway, good short visit If you are in the area.
This was a very interesting historical site. The guided tour was interesting. The docent covered the history of the Prevost and Rosencrantz families that lived at the house. The house also was decorated with many period artifacts including some that are original to the house.
Great history here, tours a must, and a great spot for a Cadillac car show
