  It was a great place for the kids. There was a choo-choo train, a sizable area of imprisoned animals, otherwise known as a zoo and a large playground. It was a bit chilly outside so there weren't many people or imprisoned animals roaming around but it was very nice nonetheless.
  The staff were helpful and pleasant all around. I'll plan to go back when the weather warms up

  An absolute gem, especially if you are a city dweller like me. The zoo is of the right size - enough to keep your kids engaged and interested without overwhelming you. The train ride is something that we always take (twice!) on every trip. It wraps around the zoo so you get to see every bit of it on the train.
  
  But the highlights at the end of the zoo trip is the awesome playgrounds (3 sets altogether) across the street. It is sprawling! And has everything for. Kids of all ages.
  
  We love this place. And you will too.

  Love this park's had lots of fun here as a child birthday parties for myself an other relatives had lots of picnics with friends an family enjoying the petting /zoo when I was a child now over the 50 we had a couple of family reunions here had major picnics cousins baptism a few weddings here receptions during the summer had lunch business appointments an dinner arrangements. A must see always very kid an senior friendly
  with out in the open walk in trails for peace an safety. Lots o f2f greenery smells great grass friendly! Always safe no pool in summer. Bergen mall the new town centre mall is now a beautiful showplace to go shopping with the number one supermarkets you need to go 1. Sprite 2. Wholefoods on one side corner on the other side corner of this ???? places

  Huge, beautiful park with many things to do. Between the merry-go-round and zoo its a great outing. Combine that with clean parks, ample parking and great seasonal events (movie nights during the summer and ice rink during winter), Van Saun is really a great park and a must visit if you are an outdoorsy person visiting Bergen County

  Amazing recreation place. They have a big carousel, very nice zoo, cute train, huge playground area - by huge I mean huge plus water sprinkles for kids, also big picnic area and just a park area are very nice. The prices to the zoo, train ride and carousel are very affordable. Place is very clean and workers are very nice there. Had a great time there.
