Dr. Golin is the best you can find. I've been a patient of his for about 20 years. He is the reason I have my two beautiful children.

What is the typical doctor's office experience? You go into a crowded waiting room with a receptionist behind a glass window, and you sit down preparing for the long wait. Now imagine walking into an office very much like someone's home complete with candy dishes. A warmly smiling, neatly dressed woman escorts you directly to the doctor's consultation room - clearly, double-booking patients does not happen at Dr. Thomas Golin's practice. How about if you have a cyst on your one remaining ovary, and you have been told by a previous doctor that you must have the ovary removed without delay? You have brought the ominous blood test results, and you anxiously anticipate Dr. Golin's response. To your complete surprise, Dr. Golin says, "Let's take an ultrasound and see the shape of that cyst" - right now. In this way, Dr. Golin quickly diminishes the anxiety by showing you that the shape of the cyst suggests it is not cancer. Several months later Dr. Golin does a surgical procedure on you and discovers that your ovary appears to be healthy but is completely covered with scar tissue. Rather than taking out the ovary, Dr. Golin carefully removes the scar tissue making the bet that the cyst will then disappear. Dr. Golin cheerfully says, "This was a 1 in 10,000 probability. Let's see if the cyst doesn't simply go away now that the scar tissue is off." Sure enough, in two weeks time the cyst has disappeared. You have the feeling most doctors would have just taken out that last ovary, rather than take the small risk that another surgery would be required. The result: you would be plummeted into menopause. But then, Dr. Golin isn't like most doctors. He is a thinking doctor; he stands apart. This was my experience with Dr. Golin and Dr. Golin's practice.
