“I have made hundreds of visits to 6 or 7 different dentists over the course of my life and it wasn't until I visited Dr. Blackmore for the first time last year that I gained perspective on the lacking quality I'd come to just accept over the years, and realized how vast the spectrum of quality for dentistry is, and how impactful/pleasant an experienced, quality-driven dental practice can be. This practice is on another level of elite in every facet of dental care. It all started with my first cleaning with the hygienist. GiGi takes her time with all phases of a proper cleaning procedure, thoroughly scaling, water-picking and polishing my teeth. Key is that she's consistent. Every visit she invests the same amount of time and effort and cuts no corners. Dentists/hygienists I've had in the past would rush me in and out of the chair in sometimes under 10 minutes, skipping one or more of the aforementioned treatment components. GiGi spends 25-30 minutes and takes no facet of treatment for granted; EVERY TIME I see her. When I leave the practice I always marvel at how fantastic my teeth look and also how clean they feel to the tongue. I'd never experienced anything remotely close to this before visiting this practice. Keep up the great work GiGi! Probably the only con I could possibly mention about the practice is that they are only open 3 days/week, but this isn't so bad because for one, on those 3 days they’re open for 10-12 hours, affording me the sort of flexibility I need when scheduling visits conducive to my insanely busy schedule. In addition, Tammy the office manager is/has been extremely helpful to me in terms of helping me with scheduling and navigating the confusing landscape of the dental insurance racket. Thanks Tammy! As for Dr. Blackmore and his technician, I don't think I can be appropriately effusive! Their cohesiveness with one another when executing procedures is really something to behold, so much that after my first experience in the chair having a small filling repaired I felt compelled to tell them: "That was the best experience I've ever had in my entire life in a dentist's chair." One of the many indications of the sort of quality you get at this practice is that they use a super high quality, (and considerably more expensive for the practice I've been told) pre-injection topical anesthetic. In the past, regardless of the amount/length of time I'd been given a topical gel to help quell the pain/discomfort associated with the injection of local anesthesia, it always still hurt to varying degrees! After 5 different experiences receiving Novocaine injections from Dr. Blackmore, I have yet to feel even somewhat of a pinch! It is simply brilliant! I should also add that Dr. Blackmore's placement of injections is highly precise because the area that needs to be numb, gets numb and gets numb FAST. I never have to question whether or not the tooth is, in fact, numb, like I have so often in the past where the dentist starts drilling and it feels like I'm being smacked in the face with a sledgehammer, I proceed to flail my hands around and have to request another injection. I could go on and on about many other noteworthy procedural nuances I think are a step above the dentistry status quo with regard to this dentist/technician tandem, but I'll just conclude by saying: BRAVO!! So long as this practice is operating it will be my #1 option for anything related to my dental health. I wish I knew about you guys a long time ago! Keep it going strong! THANK YOU DR.
