  I recently moved to the area, so we do not have a regular vet yet. Yesterday, my senior basset hound was not acting himself and seemed to feel sick. I called around and Ridgewood Vet was the first vet that was willing to squeeze us in same day because they could tell we were worried about our pup. The entire staff was friendly and helpful and made my nervous dog feel much better. They are a bit pricey, but they are honest and upfront about what they think is most important for your dog, what they need now and what can wait and they are willing to work with you. All I could ask for in a vet and we will be back!

  We've been taking our furry children (greyhounds and Italian greyhound) to see Dr. Healey and now Dr. Hartwick since 1999. They are extremely knowledgeable, up on the latest research, kind and so loving to our pets. It is expensive but it's worth every penny. The staff is A+. Can't ever thank them enough for all they've done for our pets and for us.

  I had to bring my sick guinea pig in for a visit and was so surprised at the thorough exam, and very grateful they didn't push running expensive tests off the bat. Everyone there was so kind, even though I had my rambunctious kids in tow. Will definitely returning in the future!

  Dr.Hartwick is undeniably the best vet we’ve ever been to. We have only been to see her once so far but are seriously considering changing to Ridgewood for our primary vet, although it is more than an hour from us. She is well worth the travel.
  She listened to us, heard us, and gave us the best care possible without rushing us. Could not recommend her highly enough.

  We have been going here since 1998 with our dogs and I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff is so friendly and helpful and they are great with the animals. We see Dr. Hartwick and she is always so attentive to listen to all our questions and concerns.
