Apex Orthopedic Rehabilitation

I have been going for a physical therapy after having had surgery on my shoulder. I tore the rotator cuff in two spots, the capsule and the labrum. Since going to Apex orthopedic Rehabilitation, I have had tremendous success. Started out, not being able to move at all. Now, six weeks later I have almost a full range of motion and I am pain-free. Working with Tom and Noah has been a wonderful experience. They are caring and work with you when you’re having issues with pain. They change the exercises and activities to help ease that pain.
The office staff also includes Kathy who goes out of her way to make sure that you are greeted pleasantly and you can make appointments when you need them. I highly recommend Apex Orthopedic Rehabilitation.

My experience with Tom and the staff at Apex was exceptional!  My other physical therapist for my back (prior) and shoulder (now) wasn’t working - so I switched to Apex. Thank God!!

When I tore my shoulder tendon and I wasn’t improving after many months of therapy - that charged a ridiculous amount (3x a week), I worried I may need surgery. My Doc (A great Columbia U network doc) said if no progress after months of therapy I’d probably need to. Could go either way.

Thank God I told my Doc I wasn’t sure my therapy was helping and shoulder still hurt at night. That I was thinking of switching to someone else. He asked who and I said Tom at Apex. My Doc immediately said he knew him and to switch immediately. I did. Saved me from surgery!!!

First thing Tom said was, wait for it, that 3x a week was way too much stress on it and actually causing the irritation. It was making it worse. So he said 1-2x week only and gave me an individual program specific to me. He did every exercise with me. He didn’t have 5 patients simultaneously - just me.

I started sleeping at night and I eventually didn’t have to continue with Tom. I’m back in the gym, no surgery, and he’s checked up on me to see how I was doing. Not only did he solve my issue when I may have looked at surgery prematurely, but he actually
Told me to come LESS. He isn’t about money, he’s just a great guy and knows his stuff. Couldn’t be happier. He’s seriously the best.

Apex thanks for all the great care! Hopefully I don’t have to come back (ha!) but if need therapy I’d look no where else. He’s the real deal and won’t make you go just to get $ from insurance. If you don’t need to go, he’ll tell you. That’s what you want and yes it’s hard to find. Rock star. You’ll know it after one meeting.

I had a great physical therapist in Tom. I liked having the one on one aspect during the therapy. I feel i have improved a lot in the course of the therapy, gaining strength and flexibility after my surgery. Noah was also very good . Cathy was very pleasant and helpful in scheduling. I will definitely recommend them.

Tom, Noah and Kathie are wonderful. Tom was recommended to me by my husband after he spent 6 months recovering from a muscle tear. I went to PT for over a month rehabbing my low back pain. When I first went to Tom, I couldn’t even touch my knees with a forward bend, but by the 3rd visit, I was moving with no problem. I followed the home exercises he suggested and am now back to normal. Early hours and location of the practice were a big plus. Glad our family has a physical therapist we know and trust.

Great experience with Tom at Apex Orthopedic. I was experiencing lower back pain and Tom was able to fit me in immediately for an appointment. He was able to pinpoint the exact area and why I was experiencing the pain. He explained the best way for treatment was to strengthen the area through numerous exercises. He did them with me! He also sent me the links so that I could do them on my own. Tom has a great practice with excellent facilities and everybody there was so helpful and friendly. My wife is now going there for rehabilitation on her knee. Highly recommend!
