I was entertained in a very professional manner and was educated which In my opinion matters more than actually buying a firearm. I recommend this sporting store to anyone who is going to be a responsible gun owner. Thanks Joe! I apologize in advance if I got your name wrong as I have a bad habit of forgetting names.
Btw I just noticed some negative feedback and I’m not here to bash anyone but my take on this is. Joe is very perceptive on individuals who might not have good reasons or intentions and or who might be wreckless that may affect the future gun ownership policies due to mishaps. The second amendment is our right to bear arms, but won’t anyone agree of also protecting that right by treating gun ownership with some kind of maturity and respect. The more we screw up for not understanding this is what hurts responsible gun owners old and new. He spent 45 minutes with me even though I couldn’t purchase any at this time. Again I’m not here to bash anyone just stating what I observed and experienced. -

(September 1, 2018, 10:11 pm)I recently went to Garden State Sports and was pleasantly surprised. Joe was helpful and friendly. He reminds me of Santa Claus.a kind smile and a gentle way of handling someone like me. I can be a pain and yet this man was gentle ,kind and patient with me .He took his time and allowed me to think and decide on my own. He was not in a rush to sell me anything. After buying a gun I called him days later for his help. he guided me step by step through this issue with Job like patients .
Before going to this store I went to others and was not happy.
I WOULD RECOMMEND Joe to anybody with never ending praise.
I hope this doesn't give him a big head although in his case it might be OK !!!! -

First, let me start by saying, do YOUR research before going to ANY Gun shop in New Jersey, or anywhere. But , in NJ, laws are different.
The owner was very receptive to my questions and explained every aspect of gun ownership, primarily gun safety.
I highly recommend this store to anyone that is interested in a firearm or accessories.
