  I was really skeptical about the changes with the office. I have been with Dr P for 30 plus years. It Really scary when told he was no longer there.
  My first experience with the new office went like this: I called, really sick, they said I would be able to be seen for three days and suggested that I go to the urgent care. Urgent care co- pay is twice the dr visit co- pay. I couldn't afford the extra money out of pocket so I just took over the counter meds that took twice as long to get better. This could have been a deadly Decision.
  My second experience went like this: (still mad about the last time) I decided to go to urgent care with extreme pain in my ankle. They took ex -rays and seen nothing. I did what they said, elevate, heat, rest and use a lace up brace, that I had to order on line ($40.) and wait for it. Called the dr office to make a follow up appointment so I can have n orthopedic dr look at it. They said I can been seen 6 days later by the nurse practitioner (not happy) but took the appointment. So an I not an important patient that I don’t get assigned a new doctor?
  In the meantime, ai get the flu, back to urgent care ( wasn’t going to call the dr, knowing they would probably not get me in)
  Day of appointment: walk in, (much to my surprise, a completely new entry, I did not feel Like I in the right place. Staff at the desk were Courteous , took my info right away. The nurse who took me back After just a few minute wait, looked familiar, she was really great. Updated my chart and took my vitals. The nurse practitioner came in just a few minutes later I have to say, she was fantastic. She listened to me, went over every detail of my illness and my history. Made some test scripts to catch me up from not seeing a doctor in so long. She got me in the same day to see dr Grant so I can get the foot look at. He did look at the foot and explained about each bone and ligament and Ordered an MRI but put me in a boot in the meantime. What a difference the boot makes already.
  I think even though getting an appointment right away, is a issue they need to fix (an issue this office has ALWAYS had) but the Experience there was higher thaN expected. And as far an getting assigned a new dr, I wouldn't mind seeing the nurse practitioner anytime. She made me feel comfortable. And really knows her $***! ????
  I would say don’t judge until you give them a chance,
  From one happy hobbling, freedom to go to Disney with my granddaughter, In a few days, which I would not be able to had I not gotten in to see Dr Grant, on the road to recovery patient.

  This place is still great. I've been coming here 15 plus years and Doctor Hilgado is pretty good! The staff is really friendly and understanding. I was out of my medicine and they even were able to get me a prescription written out for the next day. You can schedule and reschedule appointments and see test results on their patient portal
