(August 6, 2018, 11:38 pm)We have docked there twice, once for a few days and the second for a full week. Overall we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay both times.
The location is beautiful. Tucked away in a back channel, sheltered from the boat traffic turbulence of the main harbor. Despite this, there is more than an adequate amount of water for deep draft boats(I have seen 100+ yachts maneuver in the channel). There is also sufficient current to prevent stagnant water around the docks.
As far as what to do while you're there, you are immediately surrounded by different food/bar options. It is also a very short distance into the downtown/beach town.
The only reason I'm holding back a star is due to an issue we had with one of our trips. We had booked a slip months in advance but we were delayed 24 hours due to weather. I am not sure if it was their original plan but the slip they tried to put us in (the very last slip up against the bulkhead) was completely inaccessible. We have a 36 foot sport fisherman and the slip might have accommodated us(snugly) but the only option for getting in the slip would have been to split the distance between the finger dock and the bow piling(we actually witnessed a 30 foot center console do exactly this later that week) or rest ourselves up against the 70+ foot cruiser docked on the fuel dock adjacent to the slip. That in itself can be forgiven and the dock hands handled the situation perfectly, but we didn't appreciate the snarky response from the "office" along the lines of "we had a 35[ish] center console in there the other day". Could have been a fluke, might have been an extraordinary set of circumstances but poor management and customer service by the "office". I want to stress that the dock hands we very friendly and helpful the whole time we were there. -

(September 6, 2016, 12:23 pm)Great marina with everything your going to need. The staff was excellent and attentive. We even got to see the shark tournament participants bring in their catch. Very modern slips and great boats docked to drool over. :)
