(September 23, 2018, 10:08 am)The food is nearly always excellent!! Straight up Italian and Seafood. Prices are reasonable for the shore although some might find them to be a little steep for a large party. When they are not busy, the service is very good. However, when they are busy the parking is horrible, the service tries their best but they drop off, and the wait (even with a reservation) can be ridiculous.

La Fontana del Mare is the original ristorante of the mini-Fontana chain stretching from Center City Philadelphia to the Jersey Shore. Located in picturesque Strathmere, it is also my favorite. A renovation a couple of years ago brought more tables than ever to this popular spot and you can dine inside or outside on their porch. The food is good.
