“We were surprised by the size of the enclosures and the healthiness and diversity of animals as well as the large enclosures which blend well with the nature of the area! Very lively animals, beautiful location. Wheelchair and stroller friendly, family friendly with many amenities for children. Free admission yet they could charge $10 in admission and it would be worth it. The animals are very obviously in excellent care and the zoo helps in animal conservation and preservation.”

BYOB but check the corkage fee so you are not surprised. The seafood stew was nicely done (but sauce a little too thick and salty and the tile fish portion was underwhelming. Mushroom appetizer was good. Overall, you can't miss. Definitely need reservations.”

“I made my first visit to Avalon Hodge Podge this past weekend, and I could not be any happier! I had some guests down who requested to go tubing. I popped into the store first thing Sunday morning and got great service and advice on what tube to buy as well as all the necessary accessories. And they even gave me great advice on the best areas in the back bay to tube! I was in and out in 15 minutes with a fully inflated tube and a boat load of new knowledge! I will absolutely be returning!”
