Maurice River Bluffs Preserve

  This a great place to hike. There are multiple interconnecting trails so you can find a distance that works for you. (I hiked blue>red>white>yellow and that was 4+ miles). Most of the trails are well marked with sign posts and blazes painted on trees, but I lost sight of the blazes a few times. The river side is very quiet and peaceful with possible bird watching opportunities at the right time of the year. There are also some cool mountain bike trails here.

  Great place to hike, explore, get lost for a few hours. Could have restrooms, more posted directions to guide first time visitors better.

  Really nice trails in this nature preserve, some of them are not regularly maintained so there are some trees covering some of the trails, but can easily go around them or over them. Great spot for bird watchers since this a protected area there are lots of different birds including Bald Eagles. There is even a bird blind to watch them in their habitat.

  The Maurice River Bluffs Preserves is a great place for hiking and spending the day watching nature at its best.
  You definitely want to bring your camera, as there is so much to see and explore. You’ll see a variety of plants, animals and other creatures in their natural habitat that you definitely want to remember.
  Just be sure to bring insect repellent!
