These cops are AMAZING!!! The department is great and very responsive. They truly care about the community. CGPD we appreciate your dedication to the town and it’s residents.
Excellent police department. I have nothing but good things to say about my town police department of cedar grove, NJ. They do an outstanding job. The other comments regarding speed traps are biased . Although the department does check speeds down pompton ave, rather rigorously I might add, They only do it because rt 23 (pompton ave) is not a large road and people easily do 50-60 mph in a 30-40 zone. At one point the road narrows to one lane. If the department did not enforce the speed limit , everyone would be speeding through pompton ave possibly causing severe injury or death to pedestrians. It’s all fun and games until someone dies from recklessness. Don’t blame them for doing their job. Without a doubt, there is always a cop on pompton ave when you enter the town of cedar grove and various other parts of the town clearly visible in marked cruisers. These officers are like a beacon to welcome us home and also to warn anyone who is coming into our town with evil intent. This department does an amazing job making themselves visible to deter crime. They have my support 100% !
