  Dr. Finklestein is one of the best doctors I have met. He truly cares for his patients and wants them to get better. When I started going to Dr. Finklestein I was at my worst almost to the point of feeing immobile. He created a plan and stuck to it, continually checking in even calling me late in the evening to check up on me. This man saved my life in a way that cannot be described. If your looking for a Gastro doctor he’s your guy. Every doctor in that office, Imbesi, and Kwon are excellent as well. The staff is also extremely helpful.

  It would be impossible to overstate what Dr. Finkelstein has done for me - because he essentially saved my life, or at least, gave me my life back. I came to his office suffering from severe ulcerative colitis. I had been sick for years under the care of other Doctors and had not responded to any of their treatments or medications. I was depressed and basically wasting away. However, Dr. Fnkelstein was very confident and after trying some new cutting edge treatments and protocols which my prior Doctors evidently were not not aware of, Dr. Finkelstein surmised that that the best course of action for me, was surgery. I was very reluctant, but he not only convinced me to go through with it but also referred me to the right surgeon, for which I am forever grateful. I ended up having my colon removed (total proctocolectomy with a j-pouch). After the surgery, there has been no looking back. It is really unbelievable. After having been sick and virtually house bound for years, I am now completely healthy. I have my career back on track, play tennis, hike with my daughter and live a very active life. The only time I even remember that I was sick, is at my annual routine follow up visit with Dr. Finkelstein. If you have any G.I. issues, I highly recommend that you see Dr. Finkelstein. He is simply the best - and he saved my life.

  I first met Dr. Finkelstein 10 years ago when I was 26-years-old. I had been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease at 21-years-old and was struggling to stay alive. At that time, I was non-compliant, in denial and barely living. Dr. Finkelstein did his best to help me but I was not ready to help myself so I was asked to not come back to his practice. By the time I turned 31 I found myself having two surgeries that lead to losing half of my right colon and part of my small bowel. I weighed 87 pounds at 5'3 and had an infection that just would not go away. I literally, was on the edge of death's gates when I contacted Dr. Finkelstein's office and told a nurse my dilemma and begged for an appointment. Dr. Finkelstein came to the phone and listen to my fears of dying and leaving at the time 9-year-old son without a mother. He told me to write a letter pledging that I would be compliant and he gave me an appointment to come in that same week. That is when my life turned around for the better.
  
  Dr. Finkelstein's support, compassion, and at times tough love saved my life. With his expertise and knowledge, I found myself back in remission and able to birth another son in 2013. If it were not for this incredible man and doctor, I do not believe I would be alive. He helped me accept my situation and take ownership of my health. If you are struggling or just not sure where to turn I would highly recommend you contacting Dr. Finkelstein for an appointment. He is the best doctor ever! The love and dedication he shows to his patients is unmatched.
  
  FYI- the staff at his office are amazing too! Everyone is so helpful and kind.

  I have been a patient of Dr. Finkelstein's since he saved my life more than 10 years ago. I was admitted to the hospital with a large mass in my abdomen and remained there for about 10 days without a definite diagnosis. The other doctors wanted to perform exploratory surgery, but thankfully, I was referred to Dr. Finkelstein. He was able to treat me without surgery and I have been very healthy for the past 9 years or so. I travel about 90 miles one way for my wellness check-ups. He is a wonderful and compassionate doctor who really cares about his patients. He's number 1 in my book!

  Dr. F has been treating me for Crohn's for about 13 years. I was referred to him by my long-time doctor at Johns Hopkins when I had to move to NJ and he has proven to be the most caring, thoughtful and wonderful medical professional I have had the benefit of being treated by. If you want the best care, you better get on this train soon. Doctors like him are a true blessing. He truly cares!
