  Great place to study and get work done, especially group projects. You can book study rooms in advance which is great. Staff is usually helpful.

  Good library, though I'm not sure sure whether it's public or not. From what I've seen so far, you must show your ID to security to continue. I come here in between and after classes daily. Great environment to study and do work. This is a clean, well maintained facility with constant security at both entrances. You are not allowed to proceed without showing your Rutgers ID to security. The printing stations are great and you are able to print from your own personal devices as well. (you must swipe your card (net ID) at each Printer Kiosk to print) Overall, this is a great place to come and just relax or get some school work done. I'm a freshman now and have not had ant issues here yet, though I've heard about the stabbing that took place here a little while ago.

  It's a nice library for the college campus and I spend a lot of time here doing work for my classes but from what I know it's also a public library. As another poster mentioned someone was stabbed here because the security was lacking but they have dunces placed RU security guards at the entrances. It makes you feel safer but at the end of the day you know you're in Newark and anything can happens. The good thing is they have upgraded the place recently so it looks nice but it still feels very old.
