  Great Essex County park with many hiking trails and areas to pull off the road and rest or walk or play. Too many features to list all. Must see: Park your vehicle on Cherry Lane at the Oakdale section and walk across the street and hike around the reservoir. Lots of wildlife to see, turtles sunning and ducks etc, a mini train that tours out of Turtle Back Zoo, fountains, water features, pine woods etc. Pedal boats, kiddie play area, outside dining area with bathrooms available. Go at dusk sometime and watch for the bridge to light up. Beautiful nautical touches, light posts and mile markers. It's just over 2 miles to make a circuit around the lake. Highly recommended.

  This place is a hidden gem in Jersey. Wide path for group walks and two amazing waterfalls. The park designers really put thought into how people can enjoy nature...from benches to stairs to dare-to venture off trail. I didn’t get to walk all of the trails, but I will definitely coming back here again and again and again... Great for families with young kid and grandparents.

  Love this park, there's lots of different trails for hiking and climbing, waterfalls to see, BBQ areas all around, a big lake with a restaurant as well as paddle boats and a huge, very new kids playground in the shape of a boat. Well worth a visit, I take my kid there several times a week

  Very nice area to be in. Great hiking, great dog park, great atmosphere. They used to have some trouble with some indecency going on in this park but it has been squashed. Safe fun family or solo trips can be had here. Also close to great food and entertainment.

  It's a fun place to go with your walk group or just to look at the New York skyline. Met the memorial engraver there just checking on his work. It was touching. The park is kept clean. If you're a conservationist, the park needs help.
