“So close to perfect that it kills me that they missed one super simple but critical accessory. The food was inventive without being weird. The cocktails were perfection without breaking the bank. The portions were generous without being gluttonous. And don't even get me started on the insane goodness of their red velvet cake! But for a family-friendly restaurant (they had a giant tower of high chairs, a kids' menu to color, crayons that brilliantly do not roll off the table) they had one fatal flaw: no changing table! That is the only thing that they didn't get right.”

A ton of a diverse locals frequent this establishment too. By the way, I'm allergic but I'm told the tuna is amazing! Side note during the winter the owner let's people at the bus stop stand inside. It may be small but that act of kindness doesn't go unnoticed and only further solidifies my positive experience.”

“The prices for Chinese food at this restaurant might look highish, but let me tell you the serving size is virtually incredible. Also, the cost covers many small charms that this restaurant has in store for someone who opts to eat in. Firstly, the crispy noodles and duck sauce that are on the table when you arrive are quite irresistible and above-average. This is an example of how this establishment attempts to stand out, and succeeds in my opinion, by excelling in the "little things" department. Another "little thing" I liked would be the tea, in that it was noticeably stronger than what I have come to expect in free tea at Chinese restaurants. Additionally, when the check was brought to me, it included—not fortune cookies, not orange slices—but pieces of pineapple. I believe they were from canned pineapple, but they were still good and a welcome surprise. I love pineapple, no matter the form! I ordered Buddhist Delight with tofu. It arrived within five minutes, a massive portion. I ate til I was full and my plate hardly looked different! The brown sauce was very good. The tofu could have been a little crispier or chewier (either/or), but this would have meant longer cooking time and I was glad to get it promptly. And I'm proud to say this is the first baby corn I have had in recent memory that I kind of actually liked! I attribute this to freshness, although I cannot say for sure. When my water glass was empty, my waiter filled it immediately, always appreciated. A few other little things that I found refreshing include good music, which was soothing current folk music I believe. Also, the TV on the wall showed a nature program, which was certainly preferable to some horrid talk show, infomercial, or best-forgotten film on TNT or TBS. Overall, it was a very nice visit and if I need to stop off and grab a flavorful bite again before going food shopping, I'll know where to go!”

“It was a very enjoyable and good Thanksgiving! Was hesitant to have Thanksgiving at McLoone's because of some of the previous reviews but am so glad we did. Everything was perfect...the buffet was delicious and plentiful, our waitress was very attentive and sweet, and the manager even took the time to stop by our table, ask how everything was, and talk for awhile. But the most impressive thing was the employees that were working around the buffet. These guys were really hustling! They kept the buffet fully stocked, all the food was hot, they were very polite, and even apologized to me because they had to get me a soup spoon. Really? I had to wait a whole 30 secs. It was worth the wait because the soup was delicious. Honestly, everything was really really good. Thank you to everyone at McLoone's for making our Thanksgiving so special. We will definitely be back soon.”

Frank would serve me a generous portion of spaghetti and meatballs. Excellent I grew up in west orange along with my wife. We both graduated WOHS. 68& 72 I have lived in Florida for the past 30 years but the last time I was up there we went to starlite and was excellent To the owner thank you for continuing to make Starlite one of the best Italian restaurants.”
