Love walking through here. There are a lot of crossing paths, so you never need to go the same way twice. You can stay on flatter paths, or move up into the hill section. Great exploring for the kids.
There are nice walking trails and the area is good for bird watching. Their are a couple of spots where the trail is uneven so you need to watch out for them. Unfortunately some dog owners don't know what the carry in/carry out rule means. They just pile up their bags of dog feces and leave them.
Best place in the area to walk your dog. I used to play a lot of golf here when it was a golf course and it's really neat to see how nature takes over in just a short amount of time.
This was a former golf course owned by Ron Jaworski.luckily the state of New Jersey preserved it as open space and it is now a state park. The old golf cart trails or rather paths are still there and walkable. the state does manage to manicure in a little bit but in some areas it is not. All in all it is a very good experience and a very good walk. if you are a bird watcher it is a Haven for the local birds. I heard anyone who is a bird watcher, seeking exercise, or just want to take a nice long stroll this is the place to go. There are up hills and down Hills and curves and straightaways and all kinds of past to take. How anyone can complain about this free park is unbeknownst to me.
I'm so appreciative that this golf course was preserved. There are so few parks in southern New Jersey. It's a great nature walk experience. The paved golf paths are wonderful to walk on and the mowed grass links are great too.
I volunteered to help in the future on the Friends of Tall Pines site. Thank you do much to the group that saved this land for us to enjoy !
