    Excellent service. A warm welcoming atmosphere. The perfect place to lunch or meet friends.

    You can tell this place was something very special back in the day!

    The bar is like something you would see in an English pub with pewter mugs hanging from the ceiling. The food we had was good and the beer was nice and cold. Anyway, they are apparently in the process of updating the rooms so check back in a year or so. I bet it will be worth seeing.

    Hanger Steak and Shrimp with Bacon appetizer was amazing. Great food and awesome dining experience. Cant wait to see the finished remodel.

    Sandwiches tavern fare - cooked ham, roast beef - plentiful and delicious. Menu not large but food very good. Besides a nice-sized wooden bar, there is more formal dining in other rooms.
    Prices in keeping with the area, and wine, beer, cost a little less without sacrificing quality. Friendly atmosphere, good service, attractive, quiet interior with a light Colonial influence.
    Biggest problem is outside. On a busy corner, entering or leaving often a hassle. Also, parking not always close to doors, which are reached via steeper than normal steps. Otherwise, 5 stars.
