  Honestly... you can't do better. We actually moved to the D.C. area about 4 years ago... I STILL go back to Pitman for my dog! The staff is incomparable to any place else I have ever been. They are ALWAYS on and ALWAYS helpful and kind. Here is just one example of the many times they have been just awesome: Over the thanksgiving weekend we were in Nj, my dog was in the basement and found some very old rodent poison block and brought it to us. We were fairly sure she hadn't eaten any of it but wanted to be safe and called the emergency vet closest (not pitman) who sent us to the animal poison control line which was going to charge us $65 for the consultation. Which form what I understand is standard practice because unlike humans dogs will eat just about ANYTHING and local vets just can't know about every new prescription. I called pitman assuming they were closed for the holiday weekend but they were open and asked us to come right in. They made her vomit to be safe and finding nothing in the contents and nothing in her mouth and looking at the block, they concluded that she was likely fine, and had just picked it up and had not eaten it. If they had seen something they would've called poison control too and charged us the $65 because they need to make sure they know exactly what the poison is, but because they took it step by step they saved us a little money, plus took her right in, and were extremely kind to her and us! The place is professional, incredibly clean, and just a wonderful environment. Seriously if you are looking for a vet, this is the place!

  Very nice place were open on Thanksgiving Day but it was to late for me to get there. So i went the next day 7:30 am with no appointment. They got me right in took X-rays on premises. Helpful staff.

  I am so happy we made the choice to use Pitman Animal Hospital for our two cats. They are always able to get us in for appointments in a timely manner, and are great to work with. Dr. Olsen followed up twice to check on our cat after we brought her in for a sick appointment. That level of care really goes the extra mile.
