I recently had foot reconstruction surgery. Dr. Ferrara was very confident, competent and patient.
A friend in a distant state was going through a similar surgery at the same time and we compared treatment. Her scar was much larger and the stitches appeared much cruder and I suspect that she will have a very noticeable scar. Dr Ferrara's stitch work was very neat and uniform and the incision much smaller and precise. I don't think I will have much of a scar.
I am still healing so I cannot speak to the success of the procedure but I am very optimistic.
After getting back a normal mri and being told by others there is nothing wrong with your ankle Dr Ferrara was willing to find out the reason for my pain. After trying an injection without any relief he determined exploratory arthroscopic was the best course of action. He found the cause of my pain and also cleaned up the arthritis and scar tissue from a previous surgery. He also explains what the surgery involves and makes sure you are comfortable with the procedure.
