Recovery at the Crossroads

  I had the opportunity to be an intern at Recovery at the Crossroads during grad school; Deena and Shalom were supportive of me and were a huge impact on my success. Crossroads provided me with an excellent learning experience regarding substance abuse counseling, whether it be one on one or in a group setting. The recovery staff provides clients with an abundance of recovery tools: Coping skills, relapse prevention, future planning, and education on substances to name a few.

  Recovery at Crossroads is an awesome place to get well and find a purpose within your life. Speaking on behalf of myself I attained many goals that I set for myself and within the 3 months of me being here I grew to love myself and believe I could do anything due to the fact that all the staff members here believed in me when I could not believe in myself. I was able to utilize everyone because they all had the morals that I wanted to see within myself. Times in doubt I had great support and people cheering me on. They planted a seed within me that had me blossom into this amazing person I am today. If it wasn't for them believing i could make it, i don't know where i would be today. They told me they would not give up on me because they never knew when someone may get it. Today i made it! I actually love myself and want better for my life. So far so good, now the test is when i make it out in the world on my own and I believe I can do it because they provided me with great coping skills and tools to make my life manageable. A big thanks to Shalom, Gary, Rabbi Avi, Moshie, and all the staff including BHA staff.

  Behavioral Crossroads
  Facility is located behind Kennedy Fitness, heading from Depfort, Woodbury onto Black Horse Pike as you approach, the driveway is BEFORE the sign, I passed the enterance, had to take the u-turn, back to the light, u-turned on the Pike, back to the entrance, just want to save the extra time.
  It sits back behind the fitness center, kinda hard to see from the street.
