Loved it very peaceful there! The fall foliage was breath taking
Much improved over the last few years had been falling apart for quite awhile but that has changed. There is a playground for kids on the upper level around 44th St. The running track has been upgraded and the pond was done over and now has a fountain in it . There is several ballfields there as well as soccer fields and new one is being built also. The walkway by the bay has also been upgraded. Check first if you wish to use the fields since the local school and county teams do use them for games. There is picnic areas on the upper level but you might need a permit to use them for events, again check with the city or county before using it. There is plenty of security there. Bayonne police and Hudson County Sheriff's are always around plus they now have private security so it's pretty safe. Overall you could spend a nice day here.
This park has an awesome bike/ nature trail in it that makes for great walks. The basketball courts where redone a few years ago so they are awesome. The tennis courts are also in good shape as well as the track. The only downside is the bathrooms that have a weird wall flush button people don’t use so they smell like pee.
This park is amazing because it is huge. If any area is packed you can go to another part and be fine. There is a newer area we discovered this summer (probably there before but we just discovered it.) Its in between the field and basketball court. It has a small pond with a fountain, wildlife etc. Very pretty and relaxing.
Huge play in the front near Kennedy blvd.
Would highly recommend
WOW!!!! I really love this park. I walk here almost everyday. There’s a soccer field, track, basketball court, and a water front. I’m sure there are more things there. This park has great views. A lot of sitting area. Very family friendly. It’s safe. Also clean
Beautiful park right on Newark Bay. Very quiet. This park includes restrooms, a walking trail, benches, playground, baseball / softball field, football field, soccer field, basketball court, wading pool, tennis court, fishing and dock.
