I have a 2 year old at cradle to crayon and i love how accommodating they are to each kid. They know the kids by name, they are seperated by age group and are very attentive. My only draw back is a few closings or short days for events or holidays. Im always informed about the closings and short days in advance, it's just hard for me personally to find a sitter. Other than that it's wonderful.
I have 3 children attending Cradle to Crayons Learning Center and all my children talks about the center all the time. How they had a fabulous day and how amazing the food was. The director Mr. George Whom one of my daughter calls him Mr. Jolly even cooks for the center. All my phone calls are easy to get through along with any questions and concerns that I have. Ms.Shamyla and Ms. Kim are amazing wit the kids, very active and cool. Overall, this center and their staff are great and I highly recommend this center. Thanks to my best friend for recommending this center and I took it into consideration.
Cradles is a neighborhood daycare. It's no frills but they treat you like family. They provide full daycare service as well as before and aftercare for grade school students. It's great if your child attends PS22 and you're in need of more reliable service vs. the school's program. They will pick your child up and are open during half days and most holidays unlike the school's program. It's a small daycare but all of the kids are happy and treat each other kindly. The kids seem to view the staff as aunts and uncles which is always a good sign and they are more than happy to work with you and your needs. Bonus: They do cute events for the kids like prom and work with the school to put on events, too.
I run the Parent Council at PS#22, I also have 4 children who attend Cradles to Crayons. My youngest is at the school all day and he is 2 and they are amazing with him. He comes home singing songs and telling me about his day. They call me when anything happens with him or any of my other children and are always available to listen to anything I have to say about my children. My other 3 children attend the before and after care sessions with Cradles to Crayons. They love it when I get to the center they get a snack, complete homework, and are engaged in arts and crafts. Putting my children in this center has been the best decision I have made for them and for myself. The hours of the center work around my schedule, and they also have Parent Conferences and always give the progress on my children. They are always taking suggestions, and are always available to do fun activities for the children. It is a wonderful place and the staff is absolutely amazing and they are always very happy. Its a home away from home for us all. They are the BEST!
I'm am a parent of 4 children who all attend Cradle of Crayons. I have a child in each room my oldest attends aftercare and she loves going even when school is out due to a holiday Or half day, Cradle of Crayons is her second home after school!! My 4 year old son who attends Cradle of Crayons all day enjoys making new friends and building long term friendships and learning new things such as the inventor of the traffic lights and other American History events which I really appreciate because that's pretty advanced for his age range,and last but not least my 7 month old twins who are always happy even when I pick them up which is a plus because I know their being treated well and the staff are very interactive with them. I love the way the entire Cradle of Crayons staff bond with each and every child and parent. Every day I come there I'm always there for more than 5 minutes bonding/talking with all the kids enjoying the atmosphere and love being spread between everyone there, it's like one big family in cradle of Crayons. I would recommend this daycare to any parent!!! All the staff care and appreciate all the parents as well as all the children attending!
