We have moved many times and this by far was the most reassuring and pleasant move. From scheduling with Nick, who was extremely helpful and attentive to settling and unpacking in our new apartment. Great communication from the beginning. All of our things were treated respectfully, wrapped well, and handled carefully. Job was estimated to take 5-7 hours. They were done in just under 5. One suggestion to make this experience even better would have been a follow up call a day or two later just to check in and make sure everything went well and to get feedback. But again, no issues. “The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a consumer’s mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind. My wife and I had been looking for some form of sport activity around Jersey city and that’s how we ran into this Badminton club. They have an online registration form to be filled out for booking a court for full 2 hours with number of players. The more you take with you, the cheaper it will be per person. There’s also a WhatsApp group that is pretty active with people asking or updating their availability to play for a certain time slot, calling out the play level - Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. Finding this place was a bit tricky as the entrance is little unassuming and you need to fight out the street parking as they don’t have a dedicated one. Luckily we didn’t have to go through that as we took the last slot of the day - 9.30-11.30. They check the body temperature before letting you in and you can get to your desired court without a second of waiting. They have four active courts and the facility is part of a school that maintains it pretty well. We even watched a masked up gentleman spraying disinfectants once, along the sitting area. Masks are mandated except for the playing time and they currently don’t have walk-ins to reduce the crowd during the pandemic. They provide feathered cocks for a $ if you don’t bring your own and provide rackets as rentals for $3. We had a great time and we have certainly found our new go-to place to flex our muscles.”

I believe I am speaking for all of my group when I say we are extremely fortunate to have picked as our school and appreciate you spending extra time investing into us on late Sunday afternoon. I will gladly sign up for the next coarse, go to Sandy Hook and back to learn new skills. I am particularly interested in spinnaker handling, reefing and "heaving to" skills from your instructors. I will gladly hear about using sea-drough that is used to "park the boat" in the middle of a storm. Its a very interesting concept. Learning theory. Getting another certification under my belt. Learning new knots. The entire weekend was a blast. It was my great pleasure to spend the weekend with you all. Until next time.”

“A Battello is a small boat often tied to larger boats and used to bring people back and forth from the shore. I’m not sure why this name was chosen and a lot of times I’ve passed their statue with the name under it and wondered what it was. I found out that it’s a real jewel on the Hudson in Jersey city. The first thing you’ll notice is that while the building itself looks small, the establishment is incredibly spacious, and well thought out. Very very clean. The staff is very courteous and professional. While sitting at the bar having a coffee I listen to the bar keep and a host discuss the wine, making sure it was chilled properly etc. very thoughtful. I liked that the customer doesn’t know that they’re working behind the scenes to make the moment nice. The view outside of Manhattan is incredible also and worth the visit if just to look at the skyline while having a Manhattan from the bar. It also looks like the beginning of some construction on a adjacent bit of land of which I’m hopeful it won’t obstruct the view. This is how a restaurant should be and I’ll write more when I have time to eat there.”
