  One of the best views in Hunterdon County, beautiful with a great trail and awesome rock formations, a great place for friends, family, or a solo trip

  Nice trail system with one good viewpoint overlooking the valley. I recommend having a trail map for the north section east of Penwell Road.

  Such a beautiful hike! Typically there is minimum garbage, not a lot of food traffic, and gorgeous isolation in NJ wilderness. On a hot summer day, I recommend starting with the peak of the mountain first (this will be a short but very steep climb) and finishing with a swim in the river on the way back to the parking area. Otherwise, I love doing a long and slow climb to the peak and then a quick descent.

  Awesome hiking trail. Would like a few more markers though. Fortunately we had the alltrails app and were able to keep on trails.
