  I booked a work session for my daughter for audition prep. Joan and Jim were able to help my daughter find her strengths and coached her wonderfully. Great communicators, especially with young teens. (And my daughter was cast in the show for which she auditioned!!!). Thank you!!!

  Jim Schubin is an incredible person, performer and instructor. He helped me prep for a competition. I was blown away by the amount of knowledge that this man has! He fixed things that I did not see and helped improve little nuances to big moments. His technique is grandiose to say the least!
  After our session, I sound better, I have more confidence in what I'm doing, and I'm even going to look better physically because of what he did! I highly recommend anyone from starter to professional to book many lessons with him. I know I will!

  I cannot overemphasize my recommendation of Jim Schubin or of Schubin Studios. Working with Jim Schubin not only changed my life as a performer, it also inspired me and reaffirmed my decision to make a life out of performing and following my dreams. Jim has extremely empathic and unforgettable teaching methods, drawing from his own brilliance, experience, kindness, and his immense skill set as both a performer and as a performance coach. I had the pleasure of working with him for my first audition on Broadway, and the only thing that was comparable to the value of his pedagogy was the confidence he gave me in believing that I truly belonged there. He prepared me, he believed in me, he strengthened my skill set significantly, and he spoke my language, understanding me as a person and as a performer as few teachers ever have. I have worked with many teachers, and few possess Jim's incredible ability to relate to his students while helping them reach and exceed far beyond their goals. Jim Schubin truly cares. He not only broadened the scope of my repertoire, he also broadened the horizons of what I can accomplish, and more meaningful yet, he made me believe it and made me believe in myself too. Jim's ability to inspire confidence is infectious, even for directors. Directors have never had so much faith nor confidence in my abilities, from auditions to closing night, as they have since I've worked with Jim. Jim is such a great guy and mentor that his lessons never feel daunting nor arduous either. He makes you look forward to learning from him every time simply because being in the presence of his mentoring is so inspiring and so much fun. Working with Jim is a privilege and an honor. If you ever have the opportunity to work with him, don't hesitate, do it. You will gain a wonderful friend and mentor, and you will believe in yourself like never before. I can't wait to work with Jim and Joan once again!

  Having Jim Schubin as an acting coach helped my tremendously. I wouldn't have been able to walk into any of my college auditions with so much confidence if it weren't for him. He fully prepared me for both, my songs and my monologues, and I definitely feel like I can apply everything that he has taught me to new songs and monologues that I plan to do in the future. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me, Mr. Schubin!
