“This hospital will assign ER doctors to you without telling you that they are not covered by your health insurance. Then you get a huge bill which your insurance will not pay. I had to file a complaint with the state about this practice. Update. Its been 3 yrs and they have stopped their funky billing practices. Otherwise, they are an excellent ER. Changing to 4 stars”

I had my gallbladder removed first folliwed by 4 months later a ventral hernia repair. They were both successful. Dr. Kalina is very thorough and explains what the procedures involves and how he will approach them. He takes as much time as needed to ensure you as the patient you understand what was discussed and the next steps. Appointments are timely and you can obtain an appointment with out waiting too long. I found he has a great bedside and knowledgeable in his field. The office staff is professional and the nurses who work with him are also very good and patient focused.
