(December 8, 2018, 10:26 am)I have been a patient for a few years now and have been very happy with my doctor, Dr Mathews. I feel very comfortable with her, she has a wonderful bedside manner and is very thorough and caring. She has performed surgery on me as well. Being I have a specific issue and concern it's been nice having a knowledgeable caring doctor to help and discuss all treatment options. Something I have lived with all my life and no previous gyno has ever been willing to address.
There does tends to be a 30-60minute wait from scheduled appointment time every visit and I travel 40minutes to the office already this can be frustrating only reason I didn't give 5 stars -

The people at the front desk in her office are friendly and cheery. The practice as a whole is wonderful. -

(October 11, 2018, 3:55 pm)I was a new resident to the area when I was referred to Dr. Mathews. She is a personable and consummate professional. Friendly, warm, and knowledgeable, I had to have a procedure and was a clueless about what to expect, and what my options were. She as very patient in educating me on my options, was awesome with my follow-up care, and fantastic with my regular/annual care. I never feel like another patient with her... I feel like a person, and that is very important to me because we need to feel that it is safe to be vulnerable with our gynecologists....and she certainly provides that safety. Plus...she laughs at my jokes.

(September 20, 2018, 11:16 am)It was my second time there and I was afraid I would be talked out of my decision to have a partial hysterectomy as that was my fight with my other Dr.
We discussed all the options and Dr. Matthews was very supportive with my decision and she worked with me to schedule the surgery when it was convenient for me. She was very informative and assured me I was making a sound decision. It is worth the hour drive.....could do without the ling wait but it was worth the wait.
