Need a new ACL? Look no further than Dr. Gatt. I was on my feet (without the support of a brace!) 3 days post surgery (allograft ACL reconstruction). THANK YOU, DR. GATT!!! I can't wait to get back on the slopes.
Dr Gatt..AKA "Dr Miniscus", is a fantastic doc. After seeing 2 other docs (both very good as well), I finally took the advice of some of my associates and went to see Dr. Gatt. I feared that I had a tear in my miniscus and heard that he was very conservative in his treatment of such injuries. After a 5 min review and 2 min exam, he looked me in the eye and told me my miniscus was fine, but had a plical irritation. I was flabbergasted..2 other docs never mentioned that. He said he'd show me. So he bent my knee in a certain direction where I felt a subtle, but sharp pinch. Then he took some lidocaine and injected a small drop in the knee. He bent my knee again and....no pinch! He said he numbed my plica. I had had this pain for a year, so I asked him what to do. He said to keep jogging and ignore it, and it should go away in a week. Well...it did. So, I had given up a year of running because of the other docs, and Dr Gatt hit a bullseye in less than 10 minutes. I go to see him every year now for a quick check up and don't regret the inconvenience or cost at all. As a fellow Doc, I get a lot of recommendations for different practitioners, but Dr Gatt was the first one who made a huge difference for my daily activities! Highly recommended!
