“We've been coming to Hopewell Calvary Baptist for nearly two years. My wife is Catholic and I was raised Baptist, but I had never previously really been a church goer. One October day my wife on a whim attended service with our daughter on her then 6th birthday while I volunteered for a local non-profit. (It really wasn't a whim, she had something she needed to pray for) She was immediately struck by how friendly and outgoing everyone was. I continued to do my volunteering on Sundays while she and my daughter came back to Calvary. When I eventually came along it became apparent to me what attracted her to this small congregation in the sleepy town of Hopewell. While I may not consider myself a very "religious" person, but I do look forward to attending service every Sunday with my family. The congregation of locals is very friendly and Pastor Dennis is unbelievable in his ability to connect with everyone....even Giants fans. Yes, he is a Philly boy at heart so that's a +1 in my book.”
