inTune Academy of Music

I am an adult student learning to play the guitar. From the start, I felt very comfortable and welcomed at inTune Academy of Music. Jim was kind and informative, and he was willing to work with my busy schedule. My instructor, Kurt, is very knowledgeable and started me off with exercises to strengthen my hand muscles, which I have found quite helpful. I continue to do these exercises as a warm-up before I start playing. He also taught me a song during my first lesson, which I was able to play after only one week of practice. He was kind enough to write down notes about what we had covered so that I wouldn't have to worry about forgetting anything while practicing on my own. Overall, inTune academy has exactly the kind of setting I was looking for: knowledgeable and friendly instructors who make learning a lot of fun! I am excited for my upcoming lessons!

My son takes drum lessons here at inTune. He loves going week after week to work with the drum instructor, Kevin. Kevin keeps him entertained and engaged! The owner, Jim, is very knowledgeable and friendly. They also have a beautiful rehearsal studio opening soon upstairs. I'm a musician and looking forward to a local, clean, upscale studio to practice and record at! Keep up the great work, guys!

I highly recommend InTune --especially Jim and Grace. Our 5-year old daughter has been taking lessons for 2 years, because Jim (the owner) was kind enough to allow her to practice with Grace (vocal and instrument teacher) even though he normally would not take such a young student. No other music academies in the area would accommodate such a young student, but thankfully they did!
Now our daughter is able to read notes, have a better tuned ear and plays songs on the piano.
--That says quite a bit since our daughter does not have a huge attention span all the time.
Their patience and ability to work with students from all backgrounds is impressive.

P.S.: On several occasions I was able to hear other older students play. Their vocals and playing (drums, guitars, piano) were all impressive. Found out recently that Jim has been in the business for over 20 years and even established music companies and concert venues relied heavily on his expertise through the years. I recommend speaking with Jim about his experience and trying out a lesson. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised like we were (and still are 2 years later!)

This is a great school for a beginner and above. Staff is experienced, and very friendly. My daughter is learning the acoustic guitar and really enjoys it. They have everything you would need to learn how to play or even sing, and they have equipment to back it up as well. Love the look of the waiting room also; proves they know the business. It's worth a look if you are considering piano, guitar, or quite frankly anything related.....a recording studio is also in the process of completion.

Jim knows his stuff. He's been in the business for over 30 years and if you get the chance to talk to him in between lessons or recording, he has some great stories.

I'm taking guitar lessons from Tim at the moment. I've been playing for 11 years and hit a wall in my playing, and Tim is great at boosting me over the wall. I'm learning a lot.

Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Looking forward to the recording studio to be finished.
