  What great place to spend a couple of hours. They have astone worker, wood worker and blacksmith. A few olds buildings to tour on your own or with a guide. I took my kids for about two hours and they had a really good time. And to make it even better... is all free! Definitely would recommend.

  What an awesome place! Bldgs and furnishings from the 1700s, some original, some replicas and you can walk in and out of them at your leisure or you can do their waking tour. The staff are very knowledgeable about their various characters crafts: blacksmith, stone mason ( the stone mason chiseled the gravestone I'm laying in front of as his first project) seamstress etc. I went with my daughter, son in law and granddaughter, an we had a great time. Do it.

  This little village is very nicely put together and tranquil, with knowledgeable demonstrators and helpful staff. Great place to spend an afternoon and go back in time!

  The village is a collection of buildings from earlier times of area. Most are homes and businesses of the first settlers of central New Jersey. Mostly, the Dutch settlers. They have tours you can do. But you can easily look around without a guide.

  EJOT has come a long way since my last visit 15 years ago. The displays are enriched. The live blacksmith, cooking, period carpentry and other demonstrations add tremendous value. The new gift shop is a good idea. But I am really looking forward to the period meals in the Tavern. Nice job.
