W. Thomas Gutowski, MD

Dr Gutowski is a doctor who actually cares about his patients and has great bedside manners I don’t think I’d be alive today if Dr Gutowski didn’t do my revision I had a total knee replacement surgery done in 10/12/09 by Dr Mathew Austin from the Rothman Institute in center city Phila and I was so so sick and Dr Austin didn’t care or even believe me that something was terribly wrong I suffered beyond words but Dr Austin didn’t care he insisted I was fine I was a victim of Hurricane Sandy so my worker’s Compensation allowed to to go see Dr Gutowski from the moment he saw me he knew I was in bad shape medically he performed some blood testing and finds out that I’m filled with nickel to the point that I shouldn’t even be alive Dr Gutowski told me that he’s going to do everything possible to save my life and my leg but it’s was a long shot he did a revision surgery and fabricated what he thought would work it’s now almost 8 years and I’m alive and I still have my leg he’s never once turned his back on me and I’m totally disabled and I wear a hinges knee brace and a AFO brace to walk I’m so so grateful for Dr Gutowski he fought for me against the insurance companies to ensure that I got the proper care and he should be recognized for saving my life and probably so many other people Dr Gutowski deserves 10 stars ⭐️ and I recommend him to anyone who has knee issues and there isn’t a day that goes by in my life that I don’t thank Dr Gutowski for everything he’s done for me 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Had a wonderful visit with Dr. Gutowski. He is very personable and thorough. He explained everything. I feel very confident I have selected the best doctor to replace my hip.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Gutowski. He handled my hip replacement surgery with such care. I'm an information hound, and he always answered my questions with respect and the details I desired. Beyond being an expert surgeon who trained at the very best schools (just check out his bio) he understands that beyond the physical, patients must be supported mentally and emotionally. I had a remarkably fast recovery from my surgery, and told him that in addition to following all the post-surgical rules and actions, I thought this was due to my positive attitude. I anticipated that he'd scoff, as some surgeons might, but he completely agreed. In addition, he has a highly professional and supportive office staff. I'd give him six stars if I could!

My full knee replacement surgery went smoothly; surgery in the morning, walking around the hospital in the afternoon; post-op virtually pain free. Dr’s staff, hospital staff, and post-op PT exceptional. Look forward to playing golf in 6 weeks (weather permitting).
