Over 60 years I've had numerous dentists, most of them quite capable, but none compared to Dr. John James of Brazel, Zunger, James, DDS. I've never needed backup care from either of his two partners, but I'm confident I would be satisfied, since every one I have interacted with there has been first rate.
Maritza, Joan and Joann “man” the spotless reception area. I've never had an erroneous charge on an invoice, and all make a point of noting non-routine charges without waiting for a question.
All three are proficient and cordial.
Linda, the doctor's assistant, is a gem. Always attuned to what the doctor is doing.
When I started working with Dr. James 15 years ago, most of my teeth were out of warranty. He outlined a 24 month treatment plan, making it possible to budget. Since then most of my care has been maintenance.
He is quite thorough in his exams, meticulous with the drill, and always attentive to the finishing touches. Thus I have never had to come back because of rough edges, etc.
When we started working on my plan he referred me once to a dental surgeon, once to a periodontist, and twice to an endodontist. I suspect a number of my previous dentists might have tried to do some of those treatments themselves. Dr. James' attitude was that he wanted the best for his patients, not “good enough.”
