Sometimes wedding cakes can be dry or tasteless, but their cakes are the complete opposite. In addition to being visually stunning, the cake itself was moist and flavorful. Working with Chocolate Carousel was very easy. The process of choosing a cake is simplified by their take-home DIY cake-tasting kit. The actual wedding cake tasted just like their samples. Everyone loved the cake so much that I ordered cupcakes for a party we hosted shortly after our wedding!”

“Old school bagel shop where they make them on site! Great variety and the quality is the best. Real northeast bagels that others wish they had. The facility is near and clean, there is a cool window where you can watch the action in the kitchen. They have a decent breakfast menu including muffins etc but they do close down the grill around lunchtime. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We go here whenever we can!”

Only downfall is that is CASH only, so please bring cash. Overall, the cash only things is not a big deal because they have a ATM in front if the store (but unfortunately there is a $2.99 processing fee for using).”

There was a small mix up with the cakes and another customer was accidentally given our cake today. However, while we waited for the customer to drop off our cake at the bakery, the women who stayed after closing today was very sweet and gave us coffee and scones to apologize for the mixup while we waited. That was very sweet and we really appreciate it! We will definitely be ordering again in the future!”

“This would be 5 stars as the food was amazing and everyone loved it, however I’m a little disappointed . I order from here all the time for parties and I just spent $700 for my last party. Normally bread and cheese for the pasta is provided, but when I called I was told because it was a La carte it needed to be purchased. I think if someone spends this amount at your establishment it wouldn’t hurt to throw in bread and cheese if a customer calls to request this. It can’t be hurting your bottom line, but it can hurt customer satisfaction as it wasn’t explicit and other orders I’ve catered come with it without asking.”

“My boyfriend and I have known one of the owners Chris for years so we were very excited to finally make a trip and try The Baker’s Grove. For starters it is in a perfect location to grab some snacks and shop. There’s also seating outside which is nice for the warmer weather. The decor inside is inviting, modern and homey. We tried a bunch of things and the potato pastry puffs are amazing. As well as the Granny Smith Apple pastry puffs. My boyfriend inhale the salted chocolate chip cookie, thank god we also got a bag full. Cinnamon roll was also another favorite. It’s honestly massive and there is no shortage of flavor or size. The everything croissant with whipped cream cheese was a great alternative to a bagel with cream cheese. Its airy and creamy and just tastes great. Everything was honestly so good. Can’t wait to come back!!”

“Update: years later, and I or my family comes here every time to pick up a bunch of lobster tails & cannolis for me. Legendary bakery. Been getting most of our Italian pastries from La Rosa's for decades, but I figured I should finally leave a review. Very good Italian bakery with stuff ranging from breads, to meat breads, to Italian pastries (especially cannolis and lobster tails/bear claws), to a really wide variety of cakes. They're a favorite amongst locals who need their fix of Italian desserts, but want to go above and beyond what you find at a supermarket. They take their work very seriously and make sure that every customer is satisfied- they even sat down at a table with us and worked out the details of my graduation cake! I have to add that their cakes (like my own cake) are fantastic- they are very reasonably priced compared to what you'd get for most custom-baked cakes in the area, and they offer unique fillings like cannoli cream. They take serious pride in their work and I really recommend them as someone who's lived in Central Jersey/eaten Italian desserts for his entire life. Oh, and their cannoli chips + cream are really really good. Great for taking to the beach if you have a cooler to put the cream in.”
