“This Playa Bowls is newer and there is room to grow but overall it was a good experience. Unlike the Red Bank location you can place a mobile order on your phone and pick it up 15 minutes later. This was nice because I was able to easily as for a split bowl as well as gluten free granola. They also have outdoor seating set up in their parking lot so you can enjoy your food there. The only downside to the mobile order is that you have to pay a $.50 surcharge to place a mobile order. Overall, my bowl was good and I will be returning to this location in the future.”

“I don't live in the area but anytime I am in the area I stop in for dinner or get takeout. The restaurant is a small mom & pop type of establishment. I am not fussy about waiting or service. I just want good tasting food. Prices are reasonable. What I also like is that on my visits I see small families eat here & mostly Mexican/Latino people which tells me the food must be good because they are more familiar with the cuisine than I am. I LOVE their chicken soup and always get a large container to go. I usually get chicken enchiladas. This past visit I got Tinga which is stewed chicken & potatoes, rice & beans = delicious. If I lived anywhere closer, I would definately be getting takeout very frequently. My experiences have always been good,”

“I started going to this place when they first opened up almost 40 years ago. I no longer live in NJ but when I come to visit I always eat here. They have the best Chinese food around. This is a family owned establishment and a few things have changed over the years and decades but everything is as good now as it was back then. I highly recommend. “TLDR: Good food, great atmosphere. We ordered sushi and hibachi, both were very good! The sweet potato roll in particular was very good. The smoked salmon roll was alright, nothing to brag about though (probably won't be ordering again). The spring rolls were excellent! The hibachi vegetable was good. It wasn't too salty which was nice, and the noodles and rice were both cooked well. The cucumber roll was good, nothing special though. The place was very clean, but smelled slightly like chlorine—almost like we were at an indoor pool or something. The atmosphere was very good; nice dim lighting and soft music made the experience enjoyable. Overall, great Japanese place in the Shrewsbury area. I'd recommend coming here for dinner.”

“This place is pretty wacky if you are not used to how things work in New Jersey there is a really Lively bar attached on one side to a liquor store and on the other side to the restaurant. Which is a bring your own. My server was incredibly polite efficient knowledgeable and professional. Her suggestion of chicken cutlet vodka which I had never had before but was like if that's the best thing that everybody orders I'll do it was a 12 out of 10 spectacular broccoli Rabe was great. The restaurant itself is very old school but clean don't hesitate to eat here it is fantastic and will be a go-to anytime I am in the area. The bar looks like fun I will probably give that a shot the next time”

“SO SO pleasantly surprised by Mikes Pizza! From the cleanliness, great pizza, and vegan options- they have it all going for them! We got the vegan pie with mushrooms and peppers and it was great! They have some of the best New York style crust in the area- the texture was just perfect. Not to mention, it tasted super fresh. If you want an extra crisp you can ask for it well done- trust me you wont be disappointed! I prefer my sauce a bit sweeter & more flavor-filled, and they make theres more bland so that is something to keep in mind. The only concern I had was the price- one small pie was $20 which is definitely on the pricier end! I honestly cant get over how clean it was- I usually see pizzerias with crumbs and pizza toppings laying all over, but it was literally spic and span. Although they were cleaning when we went there, it was still so great to see how deeply they cared about the cleanliness factor! Definitely will return when they lower the price a bit!”

The sauce isn’t really too spicy but it has a nice little kick to it and plus it taste really good with the empanadas. Update this was what I posted when I tasted the chicken. I HAD THE BEEF. “There's a new bubble & fruit tea and a dumpling and noodle eatery and it's right smack 'em in the middle of Freehold Raceway Mall's food court. How exciting this was as we went by and saw another addition to the places to eat in the Freehold Raceway Mall food court. Being new, many people were curious and ordered bubble and fruit teas, including myself. What I like about their teas is the drinks are made with real milk and not with powder, like some places. They also use real tea and not tea flavorings. Their toppings 75¢ which includes the typical bobas such as tapioca boba, mini crystal boba, strawberry bursting boba, lychee jelly, mango pudding, sweet cheese foam, and my favorite, herbal grass jelly. It was fairly busy being new so it helps if you have an idea of what to order by the time you get to the front. They also serve food. They have typical dumplings, and I was most surprised by their golden buns. They served that with condensed milk dipping sauce. In case you were wondering, golden buns are their crispy fried dough buns. That will set you back about $6. They also serve Bao combo meals where you can pick 3 or 4 items and that will cost between $11 - $13. It comes with a main entree and two sides. The service is fast and efficient but in terms of the food and drink. I do welcome them to the Freehold area and wish them much longevity and success. You can earn 20 points when you join their loyalty rewards program. So what does that entitle us? 80 points = $5 discount.”
