Excellent
Wonderful teachers and a very close community. This has been a wonderful experience for our kids. Masters Amy and Tessin really care for their students. They practice and teach respect, and bring a wholistic experience to the art.
This is completely opposite of most commercial martial arts schools. We recommend them to everyone.
What a great place! I brought my 6 year old twins for a free trial class and was impressed from the moment I walked in the door. The space is bright, airy and clean with plenty of space for the kids to store their personal belongings during class. There is a seating area with tables so parents can watch and relax, or bring a laptop (free wifi!).
The instructors, Amy and Tessin, pay attention to each individual kid, making sure they use proper form and that they understand why it's done that way. It was really cool to see how things just clicked with my kids when the instructors took the time to explain things. My kids are always so proud of their achievements at the end of class, and they feel confident that they will know how to protect themselves from the "bad guys" (a very big concern for all 6 year olds!)
But this place isn't just for kids! There are Tae Kwon Do classes for adults, and conditioning classes as well. The drop in rate for the conditioning class is very reasonable for anyone who can't commit to a full schedule. And the class was actually fun! It's non-stop the whole time, but there is such variation in the drills and exercises that it never felt boring. I felt like I was being pushed to do my best, but it was never intimidating. I highly recommend the class to anyone who wants a great workout but needs a little support or a break from the monotony of the gym.
