  My coworker has been raving about Wolfons for about a year now, noting three things: amazing fresh-baked bread, a family atmosphere, and a friendly staff. I decided to take my first trip into Wolfson’s Market on Wednesday around 2pm. I got a loaf of steaming hot chabaso bread, milk, pastries, and side dishes for dinner from the deli. I immediately felt that “home” feeling my coworker described. The young gentleman at register greeted every single customer with a smile and made sure to say “Have a great one” after ringing myself and others up. Seeing as it is a one-stop-shop for every need, I just had to go out of my way to revisit Wolfson’s Market on the way home from work today, despite the snowstorm, to pick up some wine for this snowy evening. To my surprise, the cashier from yesterday was working in liquor today, and directed me to the wine of my choice. I was so happy to catch his name- Tim! Amazing service all around, fair prices, delicious food. I went from constantly hearing about Wolfson’s Supermarket, to raving about it myself. 5 stars from me!

  This comment is regarding a negative post relating to our family owned business. We have been in the LIncoln Park and Wayne area since 1921. Our retail business has provided generations of families with a foundation for entry level employment, single parents needing flexibility and retired individuals looking for place to fill their days. The disgruntled ex-employee has several concerns and issues she/he has taken to social media. I will answer as many as I can. We are an establishment with 19 part time employees. On numerous occasions, scheduling changes happen based upon personal needs, college assignments and illness. Flexibility is asked from all parties and it goes both ways.
  
  We DON"T sell alcohol or tobacco products to underage individuals. We have raised three boys and take this matter extremely seriously. On many occasions various state agencies will test the cashiers to verify the identification process. We train our employees to card and refuse all minors and customers displaying signs of impairment.
  
  The store made Chabasso bread is baked in a commercial oven inspected by the fire inspector yearly. We don't have any open flame burners that would place our employees and or customers at risk.
  
  Flies and bugs.. We are treated monthly by ChemTec. They provide all necessary traps and baits to secure a safe environment. They maintain our water drainage and trash areas to secure that we are rodent free. During the heat of the summer months, the flies can become a nuisance. We then spray with peppermint spray, fly boards and bleach water. We don't use any bug spray.
  
  We are a small family owned business our wages don't reflect Starbucks Wages or a fortune 500 companies. Our goal is to provide a friendly, secure and meaningful work place. On occasions you will find a co-worker exchange a hug, light hearted fist pump or a shoulder to cry on.... If that is employee harassment sorry.
  
  This ex-employee verbally attacked our staff and customer base. We both have taken that matter to heart. Make certain we appreciate each customer that enters our place of business. The community has supported 4 generations of our family and in return we support our local schools,food bank and various other organizations. Lincoln Park and Wayne are part of our family.
  
  As far as food spoilage and out of date products. We recognize the fact products go out of code. Our staff tries diligently to take this matter seriously. We follow all the guidelines provide by the Health Department.
  
  The future of Wolfson"s Market.. We are open 364 days a year, 7 days a week 15 hours a day at some point our retirement will need to be addressed. We our planning to continue to remain here and provide our customers with a deli department that makes good old fashion meals, Thanksgiving meals, St.Patrick's Day dinner, quick in and out grocery needs and a place that reminds people of the good old times. Our time off is important to our family values, re-energizing and relaxation.

  A great place for convenience to run in to get something quick. Have saved me with forgotten ingredients many times! Yes, they are a bit expensive, but what ‘market’ isn’t? It’s not Shoprite where they buy in huge quantities. All in all, a good market.

  A great place to run in for last minute or planning a meal. Has the feeling of a small town family store. You'll feel at home!
