“I am young and found myself at this facility after spending 12 days in the hospital following a flare up of a dysautonomia condition I have, and seizures. I had been to another facility 2 years ago after a knee replacement so of course made a comparison. My previous facility had a huge gym, gourmet coffee, and great food. Whiting Healthcare does not have great food at all and their gym is minimal. However, the gym serves its purpose and the staff here are amazing. Tomorrow I will be discharged after a 2 week stay here and I feel like they have really helped me gain my strength back. I had one day where I had some complaints and issues, and once brought to the attention of the supervisor, I feel that the staff here worked very hard on rectifying the situation. They worked hard on making me happy, even specially ordering veggie burgers, as I am a vegetarian and their menu is limited with vegetarian options. I feel like the staff really care about the patients that they are treating, and that is extremely important when essentially "living" somewhere for an extended period of time. If I ever need a subacute rehab again, I would come back here.”
