“I ordered from Playa Bowls because I was in the mood for poke and their competitor, who is across the plaza from where I work, does not deliver. I am so glad I did! I can't remember the last time I got takeout that was so beautifully prepared and presented. I had to purchase two items to meet the minimum for delivery, but I ordered a breakfast bowl and will have it tomorrow. My Poke bowl was amazing! Worth every penny. The tuna was pristine and fresh and the veg were crisp and tasty. I was stuffed halfway through my portion. Delivery was extremely quick and the delivery girl was very polite. I recommend Playa bowls wholeheartedly. You will not be disappointed.”

Truly authentic recipes, and copious quantities of food. Slow cooked, wood fired deliciousness with meat that literally falls off the bone. There are plenty of vegetable selections as well so there's something for everyone. It's a BYOB, which is the only bummer. However, bring a bottle of wine and peach vodka and they'll whip up a pitcher of fresh virgin sangria that you can spike on your own. The decor is beautiful. Stunning without being stuffy. Great for romantic dates and larger parties as well. I love this place!”

“Went this evening with a group of 11 for our cousin Christmas dinner and our server Danielle was phenomenal. We never had to ask for anything. The food is top rate. I think what is best to do is get a rice or noodles for each 3 people to share and get a little bit of a few things and share. The portions are perfect for sharing. We ate and even had leftovers. “This place was absolutely great. No qualifiers, nor hems and haws, just flat out great. From the lovely atmosphere, to the friendly and efficient service staff, and the food and beverage, all top shelf. The place is hidden away a bit (or as hidden away as one can be on a barrier island.), but it's worth finding. Their beer selection was wide ranging and Red's normal question of "Can they make a Dark and Stormy?" was met by an enthusiastic "Of Course" rather than the usual "What's in that?" We both agree that the tuna spring roll ap was one of the most delicious things we'd ever eaten. Crisp spring roll skin, fresh cabbage and sushi grade tuna belly and a lovely light sauce just makes your mouth ever so happy. Red had the salmon BLT, which she raved about, and I had the fried fish platter. I can tell you that the crab cakes, flounder, shrimp and scallops were all great and beautifully fried. I do like tasting the fish even when it's fried. Looks like a fun place to hang in the evenings as well. I know we'll be back.”

“Understanding that most people are slobs & have zero respect for the minimum wage staff who are working late & long hours to serve them, the crew at this Wawa are always busy. Employees sweeping the parking lot on Saturday mornings B4 sunrise & cleaning bathrooms while trying to stock the shelves and help the early & late night customers is often overlooked. This location is one of many conveniently close to a major highway, always busy. I would recommend you treat the staff with the respect they have rightfully earned. Clean up after yourselves, use the trash cans provided & think of the environment now and again. Turn off you cars when you go inside.”

“Very busy...but what place on LBI with good food isn't? The food is good...pizza excellent. Servers seem to be stretched thin - they're clearly running to keep up with the work. Not much time for pleasantries, but they're pleasant just the same. One of the two locations also delivers. We ate lunch at one of the locations for lunch - yummy, but very crowded and incredibly loud with screaming children. A couple of evenings later we had them deliver - reasonably quick delivery, and the food was great. Much quieter! We go to LBI every year, and Joey's is one of our regular stops. Recommended.”

They have a store with just about everything you need and even a restaurant overlooking the bay along with a small kitchen on the floor level for quick meals. “Try the "Wild Cherry Ice" it's amazing. Has real pieces of cherries in it. They have other delicious flavors too like passion fruit, mango, blood orange and chocolate, coconut. And many more, they also have custard flavors too that you can include candy add on's. Had very nice customer service here. If your really hungry, go to the Driftwood Deli next door and have a sandwich, then top it off with a Rita's ice.”
