(December 6, 2017, 7:07 pm)Complete Care, formerly Alaris but under new ownership and management since early to mid-June 2017, is a skilled nursing facility offering both short term and long term care. A very hard-working and caring staff serve the needs of a diverse community of residents.
Some go for short term care until rehabilitated enough to be able to safely return to their homes functionally. Others go for longer stays, and for others it becomes their indefinite residence. With 24-hour nursing care and a physical therapy department, their medical needs are tended to. The kitchen staff prepares and serves meals that are integrated with patients' individual dietary considerations/requirements. Patients/residents have three options of where to take their meals: the main dining room, the day room on whichever floor their room is, or simply in their room.
For other practical needs, they of course also have maintenance as well as housekeeping staff. Their recreation department provides a variety of activities and events, including hosting entertainment, having parties, and accommodating weekly religious services for various faiths. They also decorate the facility and do wonders for making it look more festive around the holidays.
The admissions department, in cooperation with the facility's finance company, assists individuals and/or responsible family members with navigating insurance and finance paperwork, helping to obtain what will give patients/residents the best coverage they can get.
The facility not only has ongoing communication with doctors and specialists for the patients/residents, but also with local hospitals, and also participates in various community outreach activities and events.
