Bridgewater School of Music

If you are looking for a student centered music school, Bridgewater Music School is the place for you. My child has been taking guitar with Mike and voice with Nicolette and now Julia. We have been with this studio for almost 2 years and I would never think of going anywhere else. These teachers are knowledgeable and kind but most of all they work to follow the interests and needs of their students. My daughter receives personalized lessons designed just for her. They really care about their students. The studio has a "family feel" to it and questions and inquiries are always handled in a timely manner. Recently they have offered online classes which are amazing. During this difficult time, hearing these instructors bring music into our home is so uplifting. I am thankful that my child found this studio.

My son started lessons shortly before quarantining and he has seemlessly transitioned to lessons via Skype. I love seeing his love of music grow with Jon's guidance. It's hard to get my 10 year old to do many things, but he's always excited about his guitar lessons.

My son has been taking guitar lessons with owner Jon Torgrimson for almost 3 years now and I am so thankful we found Bridgewater School of Music. The guitar can be a tough instrument and at times my son was ready to give up but Jon has always been so patient with him and has found ways to keep him motivated. How do I know this? I have 2 kids who have benefited from their association with BSoM! My son, has been a student for the past 4+ years, started to learn guitar from scratch and now he totally rocks! My daughter, a super excited 6 year old who cannot sit still, started learning a few weeks ago and I had little confidence if she is ready for coaching but we decided to experiment… I was surprised to see her work with her coach, Mike (super patient & polite), to go through piano lessons over the past few weeks to learn the foundational elements of piano... She is already starting to show off her new piano skills at home 😊

The best part - BSoM arranges recitals every season (used to be in person pre-COVID, now virtual) where students get to perform on stage! BSoM teachers work with students to prepare for the recitals and they put up a great show that family members get to attend! These stage performances help boost kid’s confidence – not only with playing music, but overall helps them understand the importance of collaboration & work ethics (practice at home)!
