A manageable day, easily half a day trip picnic at least, that can be romantic or merely mindful way to slow down and be in the moment. Bamboo Brook is nearby, hike between or drive down. And downtown Chester or Peapack has a lot to offer for food or shopping.

(May 16, 2018, 2:41 pm)A beautiful place to go for quiet walks or to sit in a garden. I strongly recommend taking a trip here. You can walk the grounds for free or take a guided tour for under $5. It's perfect for relaxing and taking photos and especially nice in the spring.

(March 5, 2018, 10:48 pm)It's nicely spaced out and has plenty of shade where you can walk around and learn various things about the Flora that reside there. They have some neat hanging garden (trellis) and really gigantic redwoods. One of the better arboretum's in the area
