It's a really good hike. A bit tough at times to find the trail markers. I usually take the longest trail and shoots off as the red trail, which is the longest and I love it. It's a moderate hike, and takes about 2.5 hrs to compete. The roaring boulders along the red trail is amazing.
Tucked away past farmland and suburbs, I found these rolling hills surprisingly idyllic. The boulders that live on their flanks and summits were a delight to climb.
This place is a far cry from a mountain, and what's called a hard trail just means footing that's slightly less than even. It's a nice place for a walk.
Be forewarned, the only bathrooms are porta potties, and they are in rough shape.
We really enjoyed the peaceful quiet, even though the parking lot was full. Family friendly, friendly visitors, good exercise opportunity. Plenty of parking. Great for bringing your pet. Lots of natural beauty. There are no paper maps. Print one out before you go or take a picture with your phone. Some paths mostly rocky with a mild uphill hike but not difficult at all. We will be visiting often. Close to Princeton and restaurants, after you have built up a good appetite. Enjoy!
They have nice trails for the whole family. I usually go with my friends, but we have seen a lot of families with small children who had no issues hiking these trails. It's fun, but there aren't any lookout points with great views. It's mainly just a trail through the woods. There isn't much of incline, either. This is better for beginners than for seasoned hikers.
Such a great place to hike family friendly. Great views and the trail is pretty clear of major debris. A lot of parking and different routes that very on mileage and elevation. There is also plenty of. Wildlife to see and hear making you forget you're right next to Princeton. It always worth a trip and bring a pet as well.
