I always tell people to make very nice with the front desk staff and the office manager. “I practice healthy eating, regular exercise, daily meditation and supplementation. I also keep abreast with the latest development in longevity science. When peri-menopause hit a few years ago, I developed nagging joint aches in my neck, shoulders and upper back. Tried chiropractor three times a week for 2 months, no relief at all. I figured maybe I need some hormone replacement therapy. I wanted an OBGYN who knows about bio-identical hormone. There aren’t that many, and the few that do know do not take insurance and charge an arm and leg. Then I found Dr Pregenzer. He suspected it was my thyroid, and ordered comprehensive blood work. In addition to doing a routine annual check up, he discussed a variety of health related issues from diet to genomic testing. He is incredibly knowledgable. The blood work he ordered is not what an average doctor would order. For example, to check thyroid he ordered TSH, T3, free T3 , T4 and free T4, this give you a much more clear picture of what’s going on. A regular doctor would only order TSH and free T4. It turned out it was an under active thyroid, but my female hormones are still ok, not low enough to supplement yet. He prescribed an bio-identical thyroid hormone, it worked like a charm. My persistent aches and pains finally gone. Office staff also very responsive, and pleasant. I would recommend when you go see him, tap into his knowledge as much as you can.”
