I can not say enough good things about The Center for Pediatric Therapy and, more specifically, Melissa Vastola. My son started working with her the summer before he entered kindergarten. His teacher and I had met and we were both increasingly concerned about his inability to write discernible letters. Everything needed to be bubbled out for him. When we started with Melissa I was feeling hopeless and so sad for my little guy. He hated school because he found it to be impossible given his handwriting deficiency. Fast forward almost a year and my son has gorgeous writing. He loves school and takes great pride in his work. His confidence is skyrocketing. I credit this transformation to Melissa and will be forever thankful for the time he spent with her.

I can not say enough about Karen's speech therapy sessions. My 2 year old son was struggling to be understood and my 6 year old was trying to translate for him. I was worried and sad watching him struggle. Karen was suggested to us by another mom at school. I could not be happier with the progress made. She has transformed my son by giving him the gift of communication. His confidence now soars and I know he is ready for pre-school. We will forever be grateful for her talent and kindness. I recommend Karen highly and without reservation.

Our son had some challenges with muscle tone and core strength, which were holding him back from fully participating in activities with his siblings and friends - he preferred to sit inside and watch the neighborhood kids run around. He started seeing Miriam for physical therapy in 2018, and within less than a year he had made noticeable improvements with his balance, strength, and stamina. He now loves to run with his friends, ride a scooter, and ride his bike (see you later training wheels!). He eagerly continues to work with Miriam, and we are so appreciative of everything she does to support Thomas and our family.

There is a powerful scene in the movie Terms of Endearment where the Mom panicked and shrieked and begged the nurses to give her daughter her overdue shot. “My daughter is in pain! GIVE MY DAUGHTER THE SHOT!”. That scene shows the desperation only a Mother could feel while helplessly watching her child struggle. This is EXACTLY how I felt before I met Miriam "SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP MY SON!". I was beyond overwhelmed and sick with worry. He was diagnosed with epilepsy, motor delays, cognitive delays, social, emotional, behavioral AND speech delays. We went to many many therapists and pediatric centers before we found Miriam. He was three at the time. Almost immediately after starting with her, I saw progress and could breathe again. Miriam introduced me to Karen and then they both connected me to Carrie. All three work together beautifully and seamlessly to achieve one goal: improving the quality of life for our son. He's 8 now, still under their tender care and guess what he can do...he can ski black diamond trails, bodysurf in the ocean and peers can FINALLY understand him when he talks!!!! TRULY TRULY AMAZING. Thanks to The Dream Team, he is living a healthier, happier life and so am I!
